Why Sabua Cares Foundation Needs More Support to Help Elderly Men and Women in Kogi State

In many communities across Kogi State, elderly men and women wake up every day struggling to meet their basic needs. These are the same people who once worked hard to build families, communities, and the society we enjoy today. Sadly, many of them now live with little or no support.

For the Sabua Cares Foundation, this reality has become a call to action.

Founded by Chief Dr. Sabua Rekiya Isah (Ebule Attah Igala USA), the foundation has made it its mission to support elderly men and women, ensuring that they live their later years with dignity, joy, and hope.

Over the years, the foundation has organized several palliative distributions, food support programs, and outreach activities across communities in Kogi State, especially in places like Ajaka, Ugwolawo, Idah, Lokoja, Okene and Anyigba, where elderly citizens have received much-needed assistance.

A Mission Carried Mostly by One Woman

Despite the growing impact of Sabua Cares Foundation, much of the support that keeps the organization running has largely come from the founder herself, Chief Dr. Sabua Rekiya Isah.

Her passion for humanity and compassion for the elderly have driven many of the foundation’s initiatives. However, the needs of vulnerable elderly people in communities continue to grow, and the mission cannot be sustained by one person alone.

Supporting the elderly requires collective effort from individuals, organizations, and well-meaning members of society.

The Elderly Deserve Our Care

The elderly are the pillars upon which our communities were built. They deserve respect, care, and support in their later years.

When foundations like Sabua Cares Foundation step forward to assist them, it becomes an opportunity for everyone to contribute to something meaningful.

A small act of generosity can bring food to a hungry elder, comfort to someone who feels forgotten, and hope to someone who thought society had moved on without them.
